About Me

After living in Marbella for over 30 years I certainly consider it my home. I am a cocktail of Irish/Swedish descent so I love the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the Costa del Sol and the wonderful climate here.

I spent many of those years teaching English to the local Spanish children until 11 years ago when I met Dennis, who is now my husband. If this was a turning point in my life so was a chance meeting with a good friend, who enquired whether I could be interested in selling beach sarongs.

He knew a supplier of Hand Painted Batik sarongs from Bali in Indonesia who was looking for wholesale clients. What better place than the Costa del Sol with its golden beaches to start selling sarongs. Since then my business has grown from sarongs to a colourful range of stylish Batik clothing and accessories from the Indonesian manufacturers with whom I work closely on my unique and original designs.

The ideas for my designs come mainly from talking to the women who find me in the local open-air markets I attend. Here I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I am so fortunate to have found customers who appreciate and enjoy my unique Batik clothing and I must add it is so pleasing when people comment on how attractive and colourful my open-air shop looks.

This leads me on nicely to explain why I have decided to go on-line. So many of my clients are tourists from other parts of Spain, England, Germany, Scandinavia and other European countries who regularly visit the Costa Del Sol and call in to say hello and see what new styles I have. They often mention family & friends who have liked their Batik clothing when they returned home and asked where they bought it, so what better than to have a complete all year round service offering my clothing on-line.
